Home Ranch Cattle Co. was founded in the winter of 2021 just after we purchased our forever ranch. We both grew up on working cattle ranches and knew we wanted to continue that lifestyle for our children. I personally have always loved raising cattle but hated the season of shipping calves in the fall. We still raise high quality beef but I wanted something that we could keep on the ranch forever. I love animals especially livestock as they bring me so much joy. That’s just what the Mini Highlands do, they provide so much love and joy that you just can’t get from caged pets or livestock that is bred for meat production. Having been a horse lover my entire life I recently found love in raising miniature donkeys. We purchased two bottle fed mini Jenny’s and they came packed with personality. They are the perfect pasture companions for our cattle and our horses.

All of our calves and donkeys are mama raised until weaning at about 6 months. Once they are weaned they are then halter trained, vaccinated and prepped for their new forever homes.
